Secondo Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 3 non verrà presentato all’E3 di quest’anno
Eravamo in tanti ad attenderlo, in molti erano pieni di speranza per l’annuncio di questo particolare e controverso titolo durante l’evento più importante dell’anno. Abbiamo però brutte notizie a riguardo, dato che secondo quanto detto da Randy Pitchford (uno dei fondatori di Gearbox Software, casa di sviluppo del gioco), Borderlands 3 non sarà presente all’E3 2018.
Tramite il suo account Twitter, Pitchford si è rivolto a tutte quelle persone che credono che il titolo farà comunque la sua comparsa durante l’evento, e che quindi non vedono la realtà dei fatti. Ecco quanto detto dal signor Randy, scrivendo quella che sembra quasi essere una lettera a cuore aperto verso tutti i fan:

3/ The point is that it is kind of a part of our species that we tend to hold on to what we *want* to believe while discounting the truth if it contradicts that – no matter the evidence. It takes a disciplined mind to see reality for what it is.

4/ For example, I could write it out now precisely and specifically that “Borderlands 3” will not be at E3 and many of you will choose not to believe it. Many of you will find a way to interpret the intent to suit what you want to believe regardless of what is true.

5/ In fact, this aspect of human nature is so powerful that it is more likely this thread will increase the volume of the debate rather than diminish it. It feels as if “Borderlands 3” may be destined to be the next Half-Life 3 in that regard.

Questa dunque l’amara realtà, che ci riporta con i piedi per terra. Pitchford ringrazia in quanti esprimano così tanto amore per Borderlands 3, ma sottoscrive il fatto che non sarà presente durante l’E3. Il gioco, come già detto, è attualmente in sviluppo presso Gearbox Software, ma anche se non sarà presente all’evento, non è detto che non possa comunque uscire durante il 2018.
Adesso che sappiamo ormai con certezza che questo titolo non farà parte del programma di 2K, quali altri titoli sperate di vedere all’E3 di quest’anno? Fateci sapere le vostre idee nei commenti!
